Pasindu , the contact in the agency , our guide and fantastic representative of his country Athula together with the best driver in the word Sugath were unforgettable partners. Detroves has been elaborated a tour according to our wishes for 25 days. A large variety of accommodations from 5 star hotels over guest houses to tent adventures gave an intense input about the possibilities of this star of Asia. The reaction to specific wishes during the voyage has been flexible and fast. We can only recommend this travel agency.”

“Very serious agency. We had asked for a French-speaking guide and we managed to get one, even though we booked our trip a month before leaving and there are only around sixty French-speaking guides on the entire island. There were no problems throughout the stay and upon arrival we received a little attention and the agency called us to confirm with us that everything was fine.”

“We booked a 13 day group trip to Sri Lanka but only the two us were on this trip. So it became a private trip. Our guide and driver was Meraal. The travel program was amazing. We have seen lush green tea estates, and visited a tea factory in use. The tea country scenery is absolutely breathtaking. And driving through the countryside in a tuk-tuk is an added bonus. We visited beautiful temples, heritage sites, and museums. All temples are beautiful, and the Dambulla cave temples were particularly stunning. The fortress in Galle, and the Lion rock fortress in Sigirya and surroundings are amazing. We went to a spice garden, learned a few things, and visted a turtle rescue centre. It was great to see the efforts undertaken to rehabilitate the wounded turtles and to give newborns the best start in life. En route we saw many beautiful sights such as waterfalls, and the train trip took us through amazing landscapes. A cultural dance performance showed us an important element of the Sri Lankan culture. We loved the setting of the cooking demonstration as well as the lovely ladies showing us how to make curry dishes. We had a wonderful lunch. The people of Sri Lanka we met on this trip are very friendly and are incredibly keen to provide great services. The two safaris on this trip have a definite wauw factor and we were very lucky. We saw many stunning birds, monitors, a swine, crocodile, and deer. But a jaguar, eliphants, and a bear were the absolute highlights. Meraal is very knowledgeable and his passion for providing real service made this trip so memorable to us. We have driven through the beautiful countryside and Meraal went out of his way to provide charming settings for having coffee, tea, lunch, a beer or a stroll, and he brought delicious snacks for the train trip. He was also very helpful assisting with personal shopping needs. A great ambassador for Sri Lanka, Meraal has placed Sri Lanka on our tourist destination map. We will recommend visiting Sri Lanka to our familie and friends and we hope to visit Sri Lanka again.”

“We went on a one-week private trip to the north of Sri Lanka followed by a beach holiday. We were warmly welcomed at the airport with a flower garland and a gift. Our German-speaking guide Rohitha, who is a walking encyclopedia, and driver Walter accompanied us on the 1500 km tour and together they made an unbeatable team!!! Very balanced, courteous, polite, friendly. We were supplied with water and fresh bananas every day. The car was sparkling clean every morning. The hotels were well chosen depending on the region. The highlights of our trip were a Hindu festival in Jaffna, the train ride from Colombo to Anuradhapura and an elephant living freely in the wild within a temple complex. We enjoyed every day and would like to say a big thank you. Kathleen & Ines”

“It wouldn't be possible to describe our fantastic trip in 2 words.. We chose Sri Lanka as a destination due to many recommendations from friends and colleagues. But vast and beautiful country as it is, we started to get a little worried about seeing as much as possible during our not such a long stay. That's when we came across Detroves Travel, and what a great find it was! We worked close with the team to build the best possible itinerary that would let us visit many places, but rest at the same time. Hotels, travel, sightseeing - all was arranged by Detroves Travel, personalized to our interests and desires. Upon arriving in Colombo, we were met by Joseph, our driver and a guide for the whole trip. I was happy as a child to be met with necklaces made of fresh flowers and a warm welcome. And then we got even happier, when we realized a white Mercedes with a premium gift basket was waiting for us! Travel with comfort and class - that's for sure! We made our way to Nuwara Eliya, which is a long drive from Colombo, but I would be lying if I said we struggled: Joseph was easy going, chatty, answered all our questions (which we had loads), made stops whenever asked and generally made the whole trip comfortable. I have to note that he was of outmost help and just was a big reason for our stay to be as brilliant as it was. In Nuwara Eliya we stayed in a cabana, which is a separate success story, and then spent the next day exploring plantations, visiting Botanical Garden, temples, and market. One more time I will praise our guide's knowledge: everything from Sri Lankan cuisine and places to eat, to history and economics of this beautiful country. Next day, we took a scenic train ride to Ella - tickets and seats once again were arranged by Detroves Travel. Fascinating experience! Joseph dropped us and then met us on the train station upon arrival, and took us to Hide Ella. He recommended we do a little hiking tour to Little Adam's Peak and after to see 9 arch bridge (he went above and beyond to give us a hint of when the train would be passing, so we can get spectacular photos). Our next location was Yala - once again Joseph made it brilliant by taking us on scenic routes, spotting wild animals. It was time for a Safari - and again, smooth operation from the Team, all has been booked and arranged, including a private buggy for the trips. We were ecstatic when we also got to see a leopard, which, apparently, is a rare occasion. Here our stay was a DoubleTree by Hilton (superb pool). On the way from Yala to Galle we stopped at Turtle Hatchery! Here the words leave me: what a wonderful job done by the specialists and those who care. In Galle we once again got a whole lot of recommendations from Detroves Team: we stayed in Yara Galle Fort hotel, which we loved, went shopping and exploring. On our second day in Galle it was my birthday, and here Detroves went above and beyond: cakes and gift bags and just making me feel so special! The last stop was Colombo, where we had some time by ourselves, staying in Steuart by Citrus, a great hotel with interesting history and a nice pub downstairs. Highly recommend to visit Barefoot and Saturday Market in Colombo, by the way. And at this, our trip has come to an end. We really wanted to say farewell to Joseph, and he kindly came to see us to the airport. I have to again say "thank you" to the whole Detroves Team for these beautiful experiences and memories, for all the hard work that you guys have done and great support provided to us on every step of our holiday. We felt listened and cared for; enjoyed a well-organized and hassle-free trip with you. See you next time - oh yes, we are definitely coming back! :)”

“Detroves did an amazing tour for our Incentive Group with balloon ride, farm visits, great Restaunrants and beautiful hotels, Heliocopter flights with landing at beach site, Transfers and guides always on time and the arrangement for the farewell Dinner was awesome. We have been from Colombo - to Kandy, golden Trinangel and back to the Beach Site. Was a beautiful trip. I can recommend Detroves highly!”

“Perfekt organisierte Tour, sehr guter Fahrer und der Reiseführer Ravi war spitze. Er war mit besten Tipps und Empfehlungen immer zur Stelle, egal wann und wo konnte er uns zu Hintergründen und Kultur Sri Lankas Einblicke verschaffen. Unvergessliche und so abwechslungsreiche Seiten auf der Rundreise werden uns bleiben. Heritance Kandelama ein beeindruckendes Hotel mit fesselnden Aussichten über den See, als Ganzes eingebettet in die farbenreiche ursprüngliche Natur, mit Sicherheit eine weiterer Höhepunkt der Reise. Galle, Kandy.. alles dabei gewesen, super erklärt.. vielen Dank.”
